AMK Park Playground

This playground which is within the Ang Mo Kio West Garden is just opened less than a month ago but it has already attracted many people especially during the weekends.  It brings back life to the generally quite park and it had quickly became the center of attraction for the children in the park.

It is easily accessible and is situated opposite Ang Mo Kio Town Library along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.   It is just in front of the bus-stop and you will not miss it if you are passing by the area.

As you can see from the photos, it is packed with children and parents.   Children could explore the various playground structures such as the slides, swings, the turnaround, the spider-web, land-rover  and more.   As the playground is covered with sand, many children and families are seen piling up sands and building sandcastles.

The playground gives the park a second life as for many years I have not seen the park filled with so many children and their laughter.  Parents are happily sharing the happy moment assisting the younger ones, taking photos (like me) and watching contentedly knowing that their children are having great fun.

I would recommend you to go during the early morning or late evening when the sun is not so hot as this playground is not sheltered.  Bring along your hats, mats/chairs, picnic box, cameras and sand tools. Weekends will be packed with people.

Getting There

By Car

Carparks are available at the entrance of the park along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.    Sunday is FREE parking but other days you need to have the carpark coupons.

You could also park at the McDonald which is free for the 1st hour.

By Bus
Services 269, 138 from Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange.  Or walk from AMK Bus interchange (around 10mins)

By MRT

Take to Ang Mo Kio station and walk to the AMK Library, park is just opposite.
